About the Artist
Chrissilynn Louvierre, known as Chrissi by her friends and family and clipped to C. Louvie for convenience, is an artist from small town North Carolina. She spends her days working in a local Dr's office, tending to her two toddlers, and attending classes at the local college to become a nurse. In her free time, you can find her behind a canvas, in the kitchen, or enveloped in a romance book. She loves to travel, listen to music, and considers herself a lifelong learner. In 2020, she married her high school sweetheart, a real time love story of her own. With her family being her biggest inspiration and support, Chrissi seeks to create art that shares a God-given perspective. After all, at the top of her bucket list sits "create a masterpiece." Come along for the ride and watch her make it happen.
Background
C. Louvie has been creating art since she could hold a pencil. Although an educational degree in art has not been completed yet, C. Louvie has taken art classes both at Southeastern Community College and at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The knowledge gained from her time at both schools has built an educational foundation for painting, ceramics, three-dimensional design, and art history. C. Louvie does hold hopes for finishing her Bachelor of Studio Art when the time is right. C. Louvie also strives to enter several artworks into her local county fairs and festivals each year.

Artistic Statement
C. Louvie is largely inspired by her relationship with Christ. Present in many pieces is the implied theme of the Divine Entity. C. Louvie explores the concept of exercising control over matter and overstepping the boundaries of creation. Her most common mediums are pencil and acrylic, but her heart yearns for more time working with oils and ceramics. Through her art, C. Louvie wants people to experience reverie. To pause and get lost in a piece, chasing one detail after the next. Through pushing limits in art, C. Louvie expresses a unique perspective that may seem strange on the surface but reveals a depth of personality and spirituality.
